Abstract EN

The study aimed to anticipate the privatization of social care for orphans with special circumstances in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The study relied on the comprehensive social survey method, delphi technique; to collect the essential data by successive rounds of a group of experts (42 in total) at the orphan care department at the ministry of human resourc es and social development using the purposive sample.

the pa per reached several conclusions, the first of which is relevant to the most important advantages of privatization, represented by the increase in social solidarity between the various segments of the society and its institutions, and the second is related to the significant negative impacts of privatization represented by the interest of the private sector in the profit aspect at the expense of the quality of orphans care, and the third one is pertaining to the privatization obstacles represented by the lack of experience in the field of privatization of social care in the saudi society.

finally, the study suggested a number of recommendations, the most important of which is to provide a foreseeing vision for the privatization of social care in light of the kingdom’s vision2030, including its procedural implementation.
