Abstract EN

The goal of this research is to find out the extent to which eighth-graders in the southern governorates have sports self-skills.

the researcher followed the descriptive approach and the study sample for the descriptive approach consisted of (221) students from the East Gaza Directorate, the study tool included : the scale of mathematical self-concept.

the researcher used the following statistical methods : iterations, arithmetic averages, standard deviations, percentages and test "T" for two independent samples.

the study showed several findings, the most important of which were : there's a difference in the concept of mathematical self between male and female students.

the researcher recommended that the concept of mathematical self be enhanced at different stages by explaining, solving textbook exercises and providing learners with education with appropriate feedback.
