Abstract EN

Our study seeks to examine the most important historical writings about Wad Noun are, beginning with the signs that are frequented in the medieval sources, through the ethnographic research done by many travelers during the 19th century and the 20th century, down to fundamental studies which are in the from of individual and collective productions in addition to theses in both Master and Doctorate programs.

This historical outcome provided a bibliographic focus which created a satisfaction in the community of researchers and those interested in the issue.

However, it needs a critical study in its pure academic sense in order to open new horizons for further research about the area.
