Abstract EN

Cervical cancer is among the malignant tumors, and it is very important to have regular and effective examinations to prevent it.

given the impact of cervical cancer, this statistical study was carried out to find out the extent of the incidence of cervical cancer among women of different ages with cervical cancer patients who visited Sabratha Cancer Hospital.

the ages of the groups of women used in this study ranged between (18-83) during the whole four years (2014-2017) from records of Sabratha Oncology Hospital in western Libya, data were analyzed using descriptive analysis.

the results reported that the number of cases of Cervical cancer reached 79 cases out of 105 cases for the total number of patients.

the results indicate that the percentage of cervical cancer is high (75 %) among different age groups of women.

through this, continuous periodic examination and use of Pap smears in public and private health facilities is recommended, along with awareness campaigns and education about the disease.
