The diversification of the economy of any country depending on its coastal and marine sector is very important, as this research aims to shed light on the concept of the blue economy, in which the oceans and seas can be the driving force for it, and it can also contribute as a new and effective path at the level of developing countries due to what they possess from the possibilities that can benefit from the forward and backward links of the blue economy with various sectors of the economy, by contributing to increasing the growth of the gross domestic product, and increasing growth in the coastal and marine sector.

the study concluded that in order to support the transition to this new approach, more potentials of the Algerian coasts must be harnessed, through various approved development programs to advance this sector and achieve its sustainability.
