Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the impact of government expenditure on employment rates in Algeria.

to achieve this objective, we analyze the relationship between two variables, namely, employment as a dependent variable and government expenditure as an independent variable.

using econometric methods such as the co-integration test and the vector autoregressive model over the period 1990 to 2019.

the results obtained showed a positive and significant impact of government expenditure on the employment rate in the short run, indicating that the jobs provided by government projects are not permanent.
