Abstract EN

The present study deals with the topic of political poetry in the ancient Maghreb literature during the alMohad era.

besides, we are aiming to reveal, through the same, the most important political issues that have emerged in poetry, and how poets were affected by the new political thought of the authority and way as per which they employed it in their poems, hence adopting the descriptive approach.

more to the point, we have concluded that most of the political poetry of that specific period was focused on praise and description of wars and seditions, which has alike been characterized by the creed and the religious and political ideological backgrounds of the ruling regime.
