The study aims to investigate the role of the media during its coverage of political crises, from explaining the relationship between the media system and the political system, to identifying the nature of political crises, their characteristics, stages and different models, and clarifying what crisis media is and the key strategies that the mass media use to cover these crises.

the study demonstrated the importance of the media in times of political crises by trying to shed light on aspects of such crises, which are more linked to other heavy dimensions such as politics, society and civilization.

it also revealed several models to explain the relationship between the political system and the media system, and eight key strategies of political crises coverage.
