The term is considered the first key to any science, and linguistics is one of the modern linguistic sciences that has been concerned with analyzing languages and diving into their elements, since the Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure referred to it, stressing in his study the starting from language and into language, and that it is a group of elements united in its structures.

linguistic studies or linguistics get into Arabic studies and a large number of Arab linguists paid attention to it, some of them tried to link between inherited Arabic studies and western studies, and some of them were interested in the western study trying to transfer the concepts that westerners reached into the Arabic language, and this requires thinking about the term used to include this new and old science according to the point of view of each researcher, in Arabic linguistic studies.
