Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify Michel Foucault’s vision of modernist rationalism, which rejected the other, because it is different from the mind and hinders its access to the truth, he see the isolation and oppression that were practiced on the crazy, until the foundations of modern medicine in the 19th century the idea of mental medicine to contain the crazy in the mental asylum, which he sees as a new type of isolation and authoritarian control in the life of the crazy, especially by the doctor who relies on the achievements of inhuman modern psychology, in order to conclude that he rejected the consideration of madness as a mental illness, considering it a civilized phenomenon that contributes to the creation of an aesthetic aspect in life, through which the forgotten self proves itself in the midst of modernity.
