this research aims to study the remarkable archaeological site of Mashat al-Nahar (Calidis) in constantine and highlight the historical treasures and archaeological discoveries found at this site.

the site is considered a complete city still buried under the ruins, raising questions about its intriguing nature that led early humans to inhabit and settle in this location.

what were the motives that contributed to this early settlement ? did the site possess exceptional characteristics that attracted attention and urban development, especially during the Numidian and Mauritanian periods, particularly in the Roman era ? finally, does the archaeological site have unique features that have contributed to its significance and deserved attention ? this study has presented the historical and archaeological importance of the site and emphasized the need for theoretical and practical attention to it.
