The differences in civilizations are due to the difference in history, language, cultures and heritage, and the most important is the difference in religion, since the Islamic discourse in Algeria has witnessed in recent years quantitative and qualitative interactions through the spread of new media and people’s demand for it, which is based on concepts and goals.

this is what imposed on society internal sectarian challenges in the name of Islam, which is the conflict between Sunnis and Shiites.

the study came as an analytical reading that monitors this sectarian conflict in social networking sites at the level of the contents of digital publications by the Algerian user, and at the level of expressive forms of this religious discourse on Facebook pages by choosing the group “Algeria is a Sunni land that rejects Shiism” as a representative sample, which we analyze qualitatively in order to know the dimensions of this religious phenomenon in virtual societies as a public space that draws the features of contemporary Algerian society.
