Abstract EN

This study tries to benefit from propp's discovery of the function in analyzing the narrative discourse according to the synthetic structure of the folk tale as a complex kinetic structure, to disassemble and analyse its internal structure to extract the linking mechanisms in it, and then to study the relationship that combines these parts which form the overall structure of the truth.

we aim in this article to highlight the extent to which the Algerian folk tale adapts the mechanisms of the morphological approach by focusing on the function of the characters within the tale ̏shamsa and the boy of the night̋.
