This study aims to measure the impact of the national drug policy on the promotion of generic drug in Algeria, for the period 2000-2022, by analyzing the indicators of the local pharmaceutical market, using data and statistics from various sources and the most important legislation and laws regulating the work of the drug policy.

the results of the study find that in the past few years, the country has adopted effective policies to control the pharmaceutical market by upgrading the local production of generic drugs and controlling drug imports.
