Abstract EN

The energy sector in Algeria represents an existing system that influences within an interactive relationship on both security and economic development, therefore, this study aims at identifying aims and measuring the impact of oil prices fluctuations on both military spending rates and economic growth during the period 1995-2022, depending on the statistics and annual reports of the international monetary fund, the organization of petroleum exporting countries (OAPEC), the financial laws of Algeria, in addition to the use of the descriptive approach, and, the nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model, the study concluded that there is a direct asymmetric relationship, in the positive direction between the variables.
