This study focused on highlighting the overall economic value of the wetland located in the village of El Gheddiya.

as well as knowing the extent to which the local population is aware of the importance of protecting this area.

a questionnaire was designed for 300 local families of El Gheddiya and analyzed using both the KHI-DEUX test and multiple correspondences analysis.

the results of the study showed the dominance of agriculture over productive activity in the village of El Gheddiya by 48%.

the results of the multiple correspondences analysis (MCA) also revealed the significant correlation between the proposed projects in El Gheddiya village in the field of environmental protection, with breadwinners, employees, growers, and farmers, it also showed a significant correlation between respondents' willingness to pay for environmental protection, with breadwinners and over 26 age groups, who use vehicles as a means of transportation.
