The establishment of a national observatory of documentary heritage in Algeria is considered as a roadmap to assess and analyze the field of organization, conservation and enhancement of documentary heritage that exists through the various national institutions.

from the desire to define the nature of the national observatory of documentary heritage, this study came as a first intellectual attempt is a roadmap for the actors of this field to realize and set up a national observatory of documentary heritage.

the latter, which will undoubtedly be a strong legal mechanism to preserve and enhance the national documentary heritage, which represents the pillar for achieving sustainable development in the different areas of life.
