Abstract EN

This study investigates deeply the inside of a popular text which is “the biography of the king Saifattidjan” that speaks in the Algerian popular heritage and interrogative for him, the reason behind the study’s adoptation of the symbolic anthropologist approach in the analysis.

the main founding of this research is that this text is rich of a valuable anthropologist material, it highlights all what is related to the Algerian identity in terms of clothes, food, costumes and traditions, and political, economic and social relations, and the relation to the creator with his creature, and the world of metaphysical as well.
