Abstract EN

This paper aims to study the impact of financial and trade openness on economic growth in Algeria during the period 1990-2020, based on vector autoregressive methodology and the causality test, as well as Johansen test to test the Cointegration and the response functions.

where the study concluded : finding indicated that trade openness has a positive effect on economic growth, while the financial impact has a negative impact, in addition to the fact that there was a bidirectional causal relationship between economic growth and trade openness, Adidtionally response functions confirmed that the impact of the shock of trade openness on economic growth was strong.

the trade openness has achieved a continuous positive كimpact, and thus trade openness has stimulated the increase in economic growth.

reflecting the response of financial openness to economic growth, which was fluctuating and thus its contribution was weak to economic growth.
