This study aims at investigating the procedures and concepts of text linguistics in the modern Algerian literary textes based on the contribution of cohesive devices in linking the literary text and ist cohesion through : reference, ellipsis, substitution, conjunction.

therefore, we raised the following question : how are cohesive devices embodied in the peom "horror’s flower" ? the most important results reached is that text linguistics is an efficient methodological cognitive approach for analyzing literary texts.
