This research aims to present, study and analyze the academic achievement of the writer and university professor Michel Serceau, who presented during his scientific path a series of researches centered mainly on the relationship between literature and cinema, and related issues and problems.

one of the most prominent controversial issues is the concept of "author" between cinema and literature in light of intellectual property laws and the roles of the director and the screenwriter in the processes of transition and transformation from the read discourse to the visual discourse.

the cinematic adaptation of literary works constituted a crisis between the original author of the literary effect and the film director with his intellectually and technically diverse team that reconstructs ideas according to the specifics and techniques of the image.

the development of cinematic techniques and global transformations in the field of the image, considering it the language of the age and betting on its cultural globalization, produced modern issues related to the cinematic language, the relationship of cinema to immortal literary works, the struggle of the language of creativity, the philosophy of the image and its aesthetics.
