The wide scope of international transactions related to technology transfers has gone beyond their presence in the form of international sales contracts as a result of the development of information and technologies, the method of international contracts and international agreements has been widely used as a legal basis organizing technology transfers.

However, the trend towards protecting technology with patents has also contributed to the development of technology transfer mechanisms, by relying on the compulsory licensing system to exploit the technological patent that limits the restrictions, conditions and illegal practices imposed by the owner of the patented technology.
