Abstract EN

This scientific paper examines a topic of great importance, which is the values of identity and citizenship among young people in the virtual public space, which is expressed through social media (Facebook).

Through this site, we have highlighted the manifestation of Values of identity and citizenship by relying on two publications, video clips, the first entitled "Your prayers are with our people in Gaza - Gaza under bombardment -" by the owner of the page named Hassan Al-Dubai on 12/26/2020, and the second is entitled "Algeria, men and achievements on the anniversary of the death of the late President Houari Boumediene" on the page The official Algerian TV on 12/18/2020 from During the analysis of the content of the comments and extraction of the values researched, the comments were a total of 1325 comments, of which 575 comments were taken.

The results of the study showed that the two publications reflected the most important values of identity and citizenship through the comments of the participants.

And users, it thus represented a virtual public space as expressed by Jurgen Habermas, expressing another field and an outlet for young people to prove their actual face after their ence within the real space or their normal social life.
