Abstract EN

This research aims to clarify the most important civil and political rights stipulated in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1966 AD, which is an important reference for many countries in drawing up their human rights policy on human rights issues.

This study is showing the serious violations of various civil and political rights, especially wars, physical liquidation, arbitrary arrests, torture, forced displacement, deprivation of the right to return to the homeland, and the prevention of political participation in the conduct of public affairs.

The research was concerned with clarifying the most important rights mentioned in the International Covenant and comparing them with Algerian law and the view of Islamic law on them, especially the issue of women's political participation in managing the public interest.

The research concluded that it is necessary to take into account civil and political rights as a source of human dignity and a source of inspiration and creativity for man in building himself and his country, which is a close look that is consistent with the purposes of Islamic law in honoring man.
