Abstract EN

The transportation sector is an economic artery of paramount importance for any strategy that aspires to upgrade the uses of renewable energies and raise its contribution to the energy mix in any country.

as it comes at the top of the sectors in the field of energy consumption and the increasing demand for it, its growth is linked to the degree of economic progress and the extent of development and population density in the country.

on the other hand, it is one of the most consuming sectors of traditional energies that pollute the environment and the urban environment.

therefore, enhancing its uses of renewable energy can provide important energy alternatives for its development, whether they are complete or complementary alternatives to the energy mix used in the sector, which allows for its sustainability.

this research reviewed the experiences of promoting the use of renewable energies in the transportation sector, and the nature of important solutions that could benefit the Algerian economy it was concluded that the energy consumption model in the transport sector is unsustainable, and there is an urgent need for new legislation and tax incentives related to the energy transition in the transport sector, in addition to providing the infrastructure for the energy transition.
