Abstract EN

This research aims, to study the role of sovereign funds in reducing the effects of fluctuations in oil prices, by studying the experience of the kingdom of Norway in managing oil resources, and comparing it with the Algerian experience, by addressing the concept of sovereign funds and oil prices, until reaching a study and analyze the experience of the kingdom of Norway in managing the pension fund and dropping it on Algeria through the resource management fund.

through the research, we concluded that sovereign funds effectively contribute to the management of oil surpluses, by reinvesting and using them in the event of low oil prices.

the Norwegian pension fund considered one of the most successful funds in terms of good exploitation and investment of oil revenues.

Algeria has a recent experience in oil funds, which characterize by mismanagement, but it can reorganize and restructure the fund to face the upcoming challenges.
