The reformist discourse in the world in general and in the Islamic world in particular works to confirm the authority of religion in the political, social and cultural reform movement of societies, but according to him, the religious text needs every time a renewed reading that takes into account the recipient’s privacy, reality and preoccupations, and answers many of the questions that reality poses.

in the face of the backwardness experienced by the Arab and Islamic world, the interpretation of the religious text-including the qur’anic text-is one of the most important tools on which the men of reform relied in passing, justifying and rooting the discourse.

even the talk of reform has become inextricably linked with the talk of renewing interpretation, so the interpretation of the Qur'an must be renewed in every era because the people of every era are required to look at the holy Qur'an as if it was revealed in their era and in them, and this requires that they have their own understanding and interpretation and that they do not impose for themselves, the interpretations of those who preceded them for this came modern readings within an Islamic renewal project presented by reformers who were known for their commitment to Islam as a starting point for renewing the building of the nation.
