Abstract EN

Our study aims to learn about the most important roles played by the head teacher to reduce the phenomenon of violence as one of the most important educational actors.

on the basis of our perception that there is an imbalance in the role of the administrative and educational body in addressing violence within the school environment and in order to activate the preventive and remedial role of school principals in addressing violence on the one hand, the development of school management, on the other hand, we conducted this study on a sample of primary school principals in the municipality of Djelfa as the literate and closest to knowing the reality of their institutions and what is happening in them, and adopted an analytical descriptive approach to the phenomenon in all its aspects.

the study showed many results, the most important of which are : 1-violence is a negative behaviour affecting the pupil and the educational institution, which calls for the existence of an effective and existing school administration to reduce the phenomenon.

2-the need to organize awareness-raising programmes, seminars and courses for pupils, teachers and parents in order to reduce the phenomenon.

3-coordination and cooperation must be undertaken with all bodies and society's activities in order to reduce violence, a phenomenon that calls for concerted and cooperative action by all to reduce its seriousness.
