Abstract EN

The aim of this field research, which addressed the problem of the professional and ethical challenges of robot journalism on a sample of Algerian journalists, which was estimated at 40 individuals, is to identify the issue of robots and the professional and ethical obstacles they face in the field of the journalism profession, and to know their point of view on this subject.

It is best suited to the nature of the research and its requirements.

The research concluded that Algerian journalists, both nationalities and activists in the public and private sectors, had almost the same angle of view regarding the most important challenges facing the emergence and growth of robot journalism, whether professional ones, which were generally represented in the inability of the robot to react and interact with the event and with the nature of the information as a machine It is controlled by specific algorithms that have one tone of voice in all news presentations, in addition to verifying information and its transparency.

As for the ethical aspect, journalists expressed great agreement on the difficulty of programming the robot according to the ethics of the profession of journalism.
