Abstract EN

This research paper deals with one of the important parts of Islamic history that’s known for its range that extended to the present time, which is the "idea of Mahdism".

our study is about one particular model which is "the idea of Mahdiism and the Ismaili Shiite preaching in the Islamic Maghreb (2 nd-3 rd century).

as the idea represents one of the fundamental pillars of their calling.

in order to provide a clear perception of the idea, we provided an overview of the general atmosphere in which the idea emerged and how it developed and graduated, taking into account the environment that embraces it in the Islamic East, to pave the way for the da’wah process in the land of Maghreb and the mechanisms of the preachers in the domiciliation of the idea and the cover used to spread it without having doubts or questioning.

finally, we conclude that the success in founding the state was not limited to their adoption of the idea of the Mahdi, as there was a group of supporting factors combined without dismissing the effectiveness of the Mahdist proposition which was pursued by the Ismaili missionary organization under the banner “Ahl al-Bayt”, which served as the basic foundation that paved the way for the work of the preachers in spreading their beliefs in the countries of the Islamic Maghreb in culmination of the establishment of the Ismaili state in the year 296 AH.
