Abstract EN

The revolutionary Muhammad al-Kablouti declared his resistance against the French occupation in the northeastern regions of Algeria in 1868, when the "Spahia Revolution" broke out in the districts of Souk-Ahras and Bône (Annaba) in 1871, he joined his efforts with its revolutionaries.

as usual, he took refuge in the Tunisian country, in which he found all forms of support from its bays.

because of this, the French colonial authorities initiated several contacts with the Bey of Tunisia to arrest and put an end to him.

he was forced to stop his activity, preferring to emigrate to the countries of the East, in which he stayed for a significant period of time.

then, he returned secretly to Tunisia, and that cost him entering the prison in which he died in the year 1884.

this study attempts to collect the news of the resistance of this revolutionary based on several documents found in various archives in Tunisia and France, with reference to some sources that dealt with this topic narrowly and broadly.
