This article is an attempt to outline and identify the contribution of "modernity" in the contemporary cultural conjuncture, it also approaches the analysis of certain cultural aspects of this modernity in a human society that balances between the values of production and consumer values through the study of a number of modernist concepts like false consciousness literature, popular literature, youth culture and propaganda and its role in value creation, etc.

and at the end to conclude it asks a fundamental question: What task remains for the cultural critic in a century henceforth deprived of culture?
