This paper addresses the topic of media and environmental governance in Algeria, by showing the relationship of environmental governance to media and referring to the role of media as a strategic actor in achieving sustainable development in Algeria, by examining each concept individually, since information cannot be dispensed with as a key pillar to ensure awareness of and participation in the protection of the environment's problems, The principle of information has been classified as the most important procedural mechanism granted by law to the individual to make him aware of the state of the environment in which he lives and to try to improve it, as provided for in Act No.
