أوريليوس أوغستينوس، رجل من سوق اهراس(Thagaste)، من مواليد 13 نوفمبر 354، توفي في عنابة(Hippone) يوم 28 أغسطس 430.
من أب وثني وأم مسيحية، يمكننا أن نتعرف على حياته من خلال اعترافاته، و نكمل بعض التفاصيل الدقيقة من حوارات كاسيكيوم(Cassicium).
من بين أعماله الرئيسية: الاعترافات؛ هذا الكتاب يمنحنا امكانية معرفة و تحليل المجتمع و الحياة الخاصة في القرن الرابع الميلادي، وعليه ما هي المعلومات التي يمكن أن نكتشفها من اعترافاته حول المجتمع؟ هذا ما نريد أن نتحدث عنه في هذا المقال

Aurelius Augustinus, is a man of Thagaste, born November 13, 354, died in Hippo Regius August 28, 430.
