Regulating and controlling the term is a prerequisite for mastery of any science, especially in the humanities and social sciences, and perhaps one of the most important sciences that requires accuracy in defining the term "history science" especially the contemporary history of Algeria (the history of the national movement and the editorial revolution), so the terminology employed in this Specialization still raises great controversy between historians and researchers, whether Algerian or foreign.

Perhaps what made matters worse, if you will, is what the terminology carries from different ideologies and what it refers to from backgrounds, and this affects the scientific objectivity and makes writing more ideological than scientific, so we will try in this humble study to address the problem of controlling the term in the history The national movement.

We give examples of terms used by the Algerian and French historical schools, and highlight the difference between them.
