The scientific discoveries known to mankind showed the necessity of establishing legal controls that govern their uses so that they are not exploited to harm humans.

The medical field has known many developments that made countries seek to benefit from them in the legislative and judicial aspects.

Forensic autopsy is one of the most important areas closely related to criminal law, so getting to know its requirements, controls and procedures is enough to unify its provisions in different legislations, in order to serve the truth that entails applying the law and achieving justice.

This article seeks to identify the requirements and procedures of criminal autopsy in Algerian law, in light of the provisions of international law, which sought to unify this.
