This study aims to examine the concept of parallel diplomacy, which has become an important concept in the concepts of diplomatic work, especially after the international reality has seen the emergence of non-state actors who have proven their ability to enter into negotiations.

with external parties and reaching solutions to diplomatic crises that official actors have failed to resolve, which has opened the door to questions about the fate of official diplomacy, and our study began by following the historical emergence of the concept of parallel diplomacy as well as the different forms it has taken and the actors who have practiced it, then we have examined the relationship between official diplomacy and informal diplomacy in order to know the extent of complementarity and dissonance between them using the historical approach In which we review the history of parallel diplomacy as well as the comparative approach by comparing traditional diplomacy and parallel diplomacy, and we finally concluded that official diplomacy and parallel diplomacy work in an integrated way, where each works where the other fails.
