The Arab world remained away from all developments in the field of democratic transition, and many studies contributed to establishing the idea of the impossibility of democratic transition in this region of the world.

The trend towards democracy in the Arab countries was not the result of a political, social and historical struggle that shows the maturity of the social and political situation, the growth and homogeneity of civil society institutions and the emergence of its strength, however, it is the result of the ence of major social options and community projects under special global and local conditions.

This is highlighted by the historical characteristics and the social and political structure of these countries.

The process of democratic transition that has emerged in most Arab countries, part of which was initiated by the ruling elites, did not come as a result of these elites' final conviction of democracy and as a strategic choice.

This is what the study attempts to highlight through a group of Arab countries, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
