A number of elections have been held in Tunisia since 2011 recorded a noticeable decline in the participation rate, which indicates the existence of electoral reluctance, which proves that talking about electoral reluctance depends on the circumstances that drive voters to decide to boycott the elections.

The reasonsbehindreluctance can bepolitical, security, and perhaps socioeconomic, the low participation rate in the legislative elections of December 17, 2022 indicates that electoral reluctance is asociety's choices phenomenon, the truth of the claims of political power, it is if fact, questioning the seriousness of the “democratic transition”.

Accordingly, this study aims to analyze and evaluate the election experience, to investigate the real reasons for citizens' reluctance to participate in these elections, and to identify ways to protect the upcoming elections from the threat of boycot.
