and from the nonverbal signs, which is the socially recognized means of communication within the same community and culture.

these nonverbal signs express meaning through facial expressions such as happiness, sadness, anger, and other moods.

the paper discusses what is mentioned in relation to Ahmad Abd el_latif's novel, Daniel ages in the city of threads.

this novel is distinct as it has much of silence, communicated through punctuation marks, as the author does not want to express the meaning directly.

it is a very intricate and complex novel, constituting a great maze, with a parallel creative criticism.

the text contains within its folds pain, oppression and submission.

it is a dystopia, claimed by Plato.

its citizens are defeated, Brocken, corrupt whether in the upper or lower city.

the methodology of the research is aesthetic as the paper focuses on the form and structure, and the integration and disintegration between the structural and formal aspects to exhibit creativity.

hence, I will study silence in this novel, showing its role in achieving communication, with focus on the nonverbal signs, or what is unsaid for a particular reason as the silence of Daniel in the archive.
