The study of Arabic criticism heritage reveals the importance of neologism for science.

Arabic culture discovered the Greek philosophy through acculturation with Greek civilization.

thus, Greek terms entered the Arabic language.

however, transferring such concepts created linguistic issues about the terms' structure.

Muslim scholars were invited to find out Arabic equivalents.

hence they invested their encyclopedic thought to study Aristotle's poetics in order to endow Arabic criticism with new terms and concepts via translation or arabization.

this effort is clear in translations done by Muta ibn Younes, his disciple Elfarabi, Ibn Sina and Ibn Rushd.

terminology issue was an obsession in their works.

we followed Greek criticism terms in their works in order to determine their assimilation of such concepts, and how they invested them.

our approach adopts description, analysis and comparison to assess the degree of Aristotle's influence on ancient Arabic criticism, and the acceptability of foreign terms and concepts within Arabic culture, as to measure the ability of Arabic language to keep up with emerging sciences.
