The importance of this study comes at a time when the interest of political leaders and those responsible for education is increasing in the process of continuous development and modernization of education, as the main tool for development, and what the Arab countries are witnessing in terms of political, economic and social events and changes, and that there are many global and local developments and challenges in recent years that have played a role a pioneer in educational policy.

the study aimed to identify the similarities and differences between the educational policy-making mechanisms in the sultanate of Oman and Malaysia, and the study tries to answer the following main question : how can educational policy-making mechanisms be developed in the sultanate of Oman in the light of Malaysia's experience ?, the study relied on the comparative approach, which compares the different countries of the world to describe and analyze the reality and mechanisms of educational policymaking, and to reveal similarities and differences to benefit from these mechanisms.
