Abstract EN

This research aims identifying intellectuals attitudes to the role of civil society in democratic transformation by revealing the nature of the relationship between the state and civil society and its implications for the status of intellectuals and their attitudes to its role in promoting democracy, the study relied on the historical approach and the case study method, which was applied to a sample of intellectuals consisting of 15 items the study concluded that the conflict relationship between the state and civil society didn’t and even after the January 25th January 2011 and 30th June 2013 revolution, the conflict VAL relationship began to manifest itself in the attempt of the heads of the revolution to subjugate civil society organizations to control which was reflected in the absence of its role in activating democracy.
