The current research aims to identify the role of Islamic economics in enriching criticism through the ages, highlighting the importance of money and the historical stages it has gone through, and researching legitimate alternatives to traditional monetary policy methods.

the importance of research lies in studying the issue of money in Islamic economics and its role in enriching it through the ages, considering this topic is one of the basic and important economic studies due to its connection and impact with many economic problems, and being a reflection of the most important economic activities and social aspects in the Islamic state.

in order to achieve the desired objectives of the research, the historical method, the analytical descriptive method, and the inductive approach were used, in line with the title and objectives of the study.

the results of the research showed that money in the Islamic economy was a social medium linked to the exchange economy, and the jurists agreed that money has a performance function.

the results of the research also showed that money jobs in the Islamic economy were divided into original money jobs, derivative jobs, economic jobs, and dynamic jobs.

in addition, the results of the research have shown that monetary policy in the Islamic economy aims to regulate the banking system, provide savings and direct them towards investment, regulate the money supply, and put controls on the demand for money.
