in this research, we will discuss the lamentations of Abu Dhu’ayb Al-Hudhali in the book “Minhat Al-Talb min poetry Al-Arab” by ibn Al-Mubarak, and study them from the objective and technical aspects.

Abu Dhu’ayb’s lamentation poetry represented a model for other Hudhayl poets, but it was affected by several things, including the poet’s relationship or kinship with the elegy, the heroic feats of elegy on the battlefield, and the images of generosity, courage, and chivalry that he had before his death.

their poems were also characterized by certain characteristics, such as the use of interrogative methods, repetition, appeal, and supplication, in addition to some words and concepts that were frequently used in the poetry of arab lamentation, in addition to the great influence in the desert environment, and the animals in it always fighting for survival.
