The management of ethnic pluralism is one of the issues that threaten the stability of many African countries, especially Ethiopia, as it is characterized by great ethnic pluralism and the nature of the Ethiopian state, where most nationalities are concentrated in specific regions, which contributed greatly to the application of ethnic federalism since the early nineties of the twentieth century.

on the federal situation with bickering between these nationalities from time to time over resources and borders between regions, but it was possible to control such problems in the Ethiopian interior.

the biggest problem seems to be that the constitution of the federal state gives the regions the right to secession and self-determination, which constitutes a great threat to the fate of the federal state, and with the desire of Abe Ahmed, the prime minister, to shift from federalism to centralization, and the objection of many nationalities, because this undermines their rights and freedoms in managing their regions, which destabilized security.
