Abstract EN

The research aims to analyze and measure the impact of climate changes, especially temperatures, rainfall and humidity, on the acre productivity of sugar beet and onions in the old and new lands of Egypt during the period (2017-2020), it was found that an increase in the maximum temperature in November, the minimum temperature in February, the humidity in August, and rain in February leads to a decrease in beet productivity in the old lands, while the productivity increases with an increase in the maximum temperature in February, and the humidity in September, January.

while the productivity in the new lands decreases with the increase in the minimum temperature in September and the humidity in August, while its productivity increases with the increase in the minimum temperature in December and the humidity in September, January.

as for the productivity of onions in the old lands, it decreases with the increase in the maximum temperature in December and January, the minimum temperatures in October, and the humidity in March, June.

while its productivity increases with the increase in the maximum temperature in October and the humidity in November, April.

while productivity in the new lands decreases with the increase in the maximum temperature in December, January, March.

the lowest temperature in October, the humidity in September, March, May, and rain in December.

the amount of decline in the local production of beets and onions as a result of climate changes is estimated at about 302.7, 205.79 thousand tons, value of 180.4, 412.17 million pounds.

it may lead to an increase in the amount of Egypt's imports of sugar by about 43.24 thousand tons, value of 291.15 million pounds, while the value of Egyptian onion exports amounted to about 1145.64 million pounds.
