Abstract EN

Semiotic criticism is one of the most popular approaches that critics use and apply in the Western world.

When brought to us by the translation movements, it received great demand and increased attention from our Arab critics in general and the Algerian critics in particular.

The Algerian narrative discourse had its share of analysis in the light of this approach, which knew discrepancy, difference and disparity at the levels of reception and perception.

BOUTADJINE was one of the first to grasp this approach, which can be considered of the first degree, given that he was taught directly by the semiotic theorists in France, without any translation mediation between the original source and the recipient.

As he tackled a huge narrative discourse which was the one by Hamid BENHADDOUKA: The novel Tomorrow is a new day, to apply to it the mechanisms of the global model, which is one of the basic components of Grimas' narrative theory, and here in this research paper we chose to enter the world of Boutadjine's critical text to shed light on the mechanisms of semiotic analysis adopted in the study of an Algerian model.
