Because of its strategic location, Algeria has lately witnessed the displacement of large numbers of illegal immigrants from the southern borders' neighboring countries.

This contributed to the widespread of the organized-crime's phenomenon in its various forms, and terrorism that hits hard in the coastal zone.

In this vein, this study aims to shed light on the illegal immigration in Algeria through indicating its causes, its effects on the country's stability and security and the whole region.

It also searches for the strategy to be taken to confront this dangerous phenomenon.

As a conclusion, the international cooperation in combating illegal immigration is everyone's responsibility.

This cooperation is more necessary than ever due to the intertwining of the two crimes: illegal immigration crime and organized crime, that threaten the Algerian national security system in particular and the international community in general.
