Abstract EN

our study aimes, to explore the role of information and communication technology (ICT) on the rise of Cyber-Deviation (CD), among adolescents and young adults, Then; we put the light, on the ubiquitous spread of information and communication technology, that enabled the rising of Cyber-Deviation activities, so it is important to understand the determinants associated with their participation in deviant activities online.

For this purpose, we dealt with a conceptual framework, in which we discussed the concept of New Information and Communication Technology, the ABCs of deviation, and the phenomenon of Cyber-Deviation, then we presented the most prevalent types of cyber deviation, such as; digital piracy, cyberbullying, and sexting, then we highlighted the most important theoretical approaches explaining Cyber-Deviation.

Finally we revealed, that low self-control, and deviant peer association, are related to specific forms of cyber deviance
